Aquaculture in Education

In an educational setting, aquaculture can be used in many ways. The culture of fish in a recirculating system can be used to teach many different disciplines to students. Some of these areas include the following: scientific and experimental methods, mathematics and statistics, mechanics and fluid dynamics, economic and nutritional studies, marketing skills, etc. Our most popular school system is the Fisheries AquaRanch™ 600 Gallon single unit system. It's filtration unit is the most efficient of its kind. It is easy to clean and maintain. This system, with its 500 gallon tank, produces up to 250 pounds of fish, so there is a perfect amount of fish for an end of the year fish fry!
